The Refreshing Circle (TRC) is a God-inspired vision given to Gwen Harris. In 2016, Gwen decided to invite some friends and family from near and far to visit her in Las Vegas, Nevada. (At the time, Gwen lived in a suburb of Las Vegas.) Gwen dubbed the weekend gathering The Refreshing Circle and used the five G's described below to create an agenda that included inspirational messages, attending a local worship service, sightseeing, group activites to build connections, and stimulating conversation over several meals. Little did Gwen realize at the time that what she thought was a good, one-time idea was a God-idea. Some of the 25 women who spent that weekend together only knew Gwen. However, if you'd seen the group together, you'd never realize that. The atmosphere and activities proved ideal for bonding and building relationships with other women who had someone else in common other than Gwen - God. All were women of faith. Since 2016, TRC has expanded beyond Gwen's personal circle to include anyone who values connecting with God in community. Throughout the years, Gwen also has hosted in-person events in Chicago, Dallas, and Memphis. In addition, the opportunities for connection have grown to include, virtual monthly gatherings with records of the live gatherings available on YouTube for later viewing, inspirational and informational text blasts, and a blog.
